Frontline gaming workers are key to advancing a culture of responsible gambling across the industry, and effective training provides staff with the knowledge and confidence to respond to the unique needs of their customers.

This session will begin with an exploration of recent advances and current gaps in training, drawing from new research and the latest global training developments. It will examine the implication of responsible gambling programs on training, and will explore emerging techniques, including demonstrations of ways to engage online learners.

Next, the session will look at a case study of training at Parq Casino, highlighting the importance of casino workers in preventing and mitigating gambling-related harm. The presentation will conclude with a peek at the challenges ahead to make a casino culture of connection and care not only standard, but sustainable.
